MichaelYick: Old booru finally kicked the bucket in a totally unrecoverable state software wise. Szurubooru while nice to look at, was a horrible mess of spaghetti code that was almost impossible to troubleshoot. Not to bash the creators, I bet they work hard, but it is nowhere near a "production ready" tool. it's so convoluted that it must be deployed via Docker (a program used to make copies of OSes for one specific program to use). Shimmie2 (our new booru) is much easier to troubleshoot, uses less resources, and should be easier to customize to our liking. Once we get the kinks worked out, I bet shimmie2 will be a welcome choice.
